Orient Express
Orient Express
Experience a TrainWorld story as if would be told in the museum. We had the chance to fit and shape a website to a certain pre existing story on their website. These are super boring to read, but their museum is awesome. The assignment was that we would create a museum experience for them on the web. For mobile, desktop and using GSAP.

To understand the museum fully, paid them a visit. It was nice to have it as a startpoint. Now that we understood the museum, I made a user Journey about what could be better. I asked people what they are looking at in museums, and a lot of it was visual. I had to make it more or less a visual experience rather than a styled PDF.

I used a neo art deco style because my story was about the Orient Express. Art deco was a design style that was used a lot in that era. So this was a wink to that style period. I made all of the illustrations myself in Illustrator, and made Figma Designs.

Developping responsively was not that hard, as well as GSAP. It's just loads of work. The only downside is that GSAP glitches every time. But it makes the experience 10x more interesting.

For a 3 week project, I am proud with what i've accomplished. It is far from ready but the time limit was killing each and everyone of the students.
